Awareness drive against terror

LAHORE 

LAHORE police on Friday launched an awareness campaign for the citizens to get their cooperation against terrorism.

Capital City Police Officer Muhammad Pervez Rathore distributed awareness pamphlets against terrorism among people at the Chairing Cross. He also distributed sweets among children. He asked the citizens to keep vigilance on suspects in their localities and remain careful about any unclaimed bag or other goods which could be used for terrorism. He asked citizens to keep documents of their vehicles and computerised national identity cards with them, requesting them not to hire services of domestic servants like drivers, gardeners, gate keepers without proper verification.

The CCPO said information provided by people might help escape any national tragedy. 

He appealed to the citizens to call the following telephone numbers about any suspicious things or persons and assured that informant’s names would be kept secret. 

The numbers include Emergency 15, Qurban Control 9200269, Traffic Control 9201910, Cantt Control 6861073, Civil Lines 9200258, Model Town Control 7585672, Sadr Control 5154711, Iqbal Town Control 9230819, Wasim Control 9200270-71 and Mobile Control 9202366.
